Narrative: Dug up at Monk's Head, Antigonish County. The family of our donor spent summers at a camp located at this site and the object was found in an area where a garden was kept.
Description:

Hand-forged iron hoe; handle missing; surface of metal is rough and uneven

History of Use:

A hand tool used for agitating and moving soil.  Its purpose is to assist with planting, weed control and harvesting.
