Narrative: Farm implement used for tossing and gathering hay.
Description: Y shape with two metal prongs
History of Use: Two-tined hayforks were used to pitch hay. Loose hay clumps together very easily, therefore only two tines were necessary to lift a large mass of hay. The tang, or point at the base would have been inserted into a wooden handle.
