Description:

These handstitched leather Mi'Kmaq moccasins have four eyelets per side with leather shoe strings; there is a decorative orange and cream stitching on the toe area of each moccasin. 

History of Use:

Donor, Graham Mcbride's grandmother, Caroline (Mrs. Charles McBride), was good friends with some of the Mi'Kmaq women who used to summer in Digby on the Racquette shore (across from the Pines Hotel). 

Many times, over tea, Caroline would make purchases of their beautiful handmade moccasins, baskets, etc.
