Description: Rectangular Mi'kmaq ash basket, has ash twist near the top of the basket for decoration. These twisted had been dyed green but now they have mostly faded. There are two ash handles that are movable attached to the basket. 
History of Use: Mi'kmaq who camped locally in the Conquerall Bank area of Nova Scotia would make these baskets and sell them door to door during the summer time. Alvin Weagle from the Conquerall bank area remembers them selling these baskets around 60 years ago.
