Description: Mahogany side table created from altered games table; four sabre legs with pad feet; frieze drawer. Fixed top is one half of the formerly hinged games table top. Drawer bottom affixed with tiny nails; corners joined with hand cut dovetails current drawer front covers space where a locking mechanism had been. Apron front and sides scalloped.
History of Use: Runciman house artifact: house built in 1817 by Rev. John Millidge. George Runciman took possession in early 1840s. In1978 the property transferred to Heritage Canada. Sold to private owner in 2009, at which point many artifacts from the house were given to AHS by Heritage Canada.
