Narrative: This is a very old book. The exact date of the book is unknown but it was probably printed after 1630. The book is made of hand-dipped paper consisting of bamboo strips and silk threads, which were then dried and ironed. The book is called "The Experienced Midwife" and was used by surgeons, midwives, nurses and childbearing women. The author was said to be Aristotle but this has proven false. The book was given to the donor by Della Richardson, whose father bought it in a store in Marseilles, Frace.
