Narrative: PROBABLY THOSE PIECES SAVED WHEN THE SHINGLES WERE TORN OFF THE GILES HOUSE, AFTER THE MOVE. BIRCH BARK WAS USED TO COVER THE LOGS PRIOR TO SHINGLING.THESE PIECES WERE FOUND IN THE ARTIFACT ROOM WITHOUT ANY IDENTIFICATION.
Description: 2 roughly rectangular strips of birch bark encapsulated in a mylar enclosure. Label with accession number and hist/narrative attached at top.
