Narrative: Sitting for the portrait(s) occurred at the family's home at 31 Highland Dr. in Truro, Nova Scotia.
Description: A portrait of Olive M. and R. Trueman MacIntosh. Olive M. is seated in the left of the painting on an ornate love seat. R. Trueman is seated across the foreground in a chair. She wears a red dress with gold accessories, he wears a blue suit with a red and blue tie and pocket square, and glasses. Green wallpaper with pink flowers covers that wall behind them. A framed painting is centred on the wall between them. The portrait is framed with a brown wood frame and has a gold spotlight attached above the image.
History of Use: The portraits were hung in the Truro home of Olive M. and R. Trueman until approximately 2002. The portraits were then hung in the home of Robert T. K. MacIntosh and Della M. Curtis in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.
